The top two drawings were done in class. For some reason, I had a much harder time drawing my own still life, than the one set up for me. On the bottom two, I could not see the top of the box so I really wasn't sure what to do because without the top it looks incomplete. I think this is something I could use more practice on.
This was my second drawing. The first one that I did, I tried to erase too much and tore a hole. I don't really like my drawing, although I think it has an interesting contour. It doesn't really look like me. I think it looks like Frieda Kahlo.
Third Iteration Above. I changed the lid back to the original, but I kept the color. I tried at first to make the lid one piece of paper, but this didn't work since the lid wouldn't close at all. This box is not as good as I would have liked it to be. I struggled with cutting all along, but especially with this one. No matter how carefully I measured, the box never quite fit perfectly.
Second Iteration Above. I tried to change the flaps so that they would open differently. They weren't able to close all the way, and I just didn't like it as much. I also added to color to emphasis the structure of the box.
Below is the first iteration. This project was hard to keep the lid corners glued together. It was also hard to hide the tape that I used to connect the lid to the box.
